Is it safe?
Yes! We carefully regulate our EZPay transfers to ensure privacy and accuracy. To provide extra security, we never send secure banking information over the Internet. And, we use the most secure communications possible when requesting payment from your bank.
What happens if I don’t have enough money in my account when the bill is due?
This would be handled just as any other charge against your account when there are insufficient funds to cover the expense. You could be charged a service fee by us and your bank if this happens, so it’s important to ensure that you have adequate funds in your account to avoid service fees and to make sure your coverage isn’t interrupted.
How can I be sure you won’t deduct more than I owe?
We can only legally deduct the amount you authorize. We even let you choose the day you want us to deduct your payment. That way you can easily check to make certain the amount transferred is what you expected.
How will I keep track of when and how much you’ll deduct from my account?
You’ll receive a handy EZPay schedule that displays the amount you owe and the day we’ll withdraw your payment.
Will you share my bank information with anyone else?
We only share your information with the bank.
What do I need to sign-up for EZPay?
You only need a checking, savings or credit card account to enroll in EZPay.
What happens if I want to cancel EZPay?
To cancel EZPay, just call Customer Care Services at 1-800-543-2644. We’ll cancel the service within 24 hours.
Isn’t it more secure to pay by check than by EFT?
Many people share that common misconception. However, research shows that an average paper check passes between ten and twelve pairs of hands! With EFT, a person rarely views an electronic payment.
Is there a service charge for EZPay?
Yes, in most states there is a service charge of $1.00 for each payment processed. It’s the lowest service charge of any American Modern installment payment plan. EZPay is the most economic and convenient way to spread insurance costs throughout the term of your policy. That’s because EZPay is automatic and doesn’t require a lot of handling on our part. Plus, if you’re used to paying postage to send in your payments, EZPay will save you a lot of stamps over time.
