Payment Options and Information
We know payment flexibility is important to you, so American Modern offers many ways for you to pay your premium. Look at the chart below for details, and even further
for complete descriptions of the payment plans. Payment options vary by product and are not available on all policies. Ask your agent for more information.
You can change your payment plan at any time, but we recommend changing on your policy's effective date when possible. If you have any questions or would like assistance in changing your payment plan, call Customer Care at 1-800-543-2644.

EZ Pay We call it EZPay™, and we think you'll understand why once you begin using it. With the EZPay Service Plan, you simply pay 16.7% of your premium due by the policy effective date. Then, monthly payments are automatically withdrawn from your savings or checking account. With EZPay:

Full Pay If you prefer to pay once and then forget about insurance payments for another year, this may be for you. Because you pay in full up front, we have no additional processing expenses. And, that means no service fees for you to pay on subsequent payments. But, if payment in full would put a strain on your budget, consider one of the other payment options.

2-Pay If you'd like, you can pay your policy premium in two installment payments. The first payment is due before the policy effective date, and the second payment is due a couple of months after the policy goes into effect. If you choose to pay in installments, a service fee to cover handling costs will be applied to each payment you make. Actual due date varies by state. Call your agent for details.

4-Pay The 4-Pay plan lets you pay 25% of your total annual premium by the policy effective date and then you'll be billed for three additional installments. While 4-Pay is not a quarterly payment plan, it can make it easy for you to budget your payments. Payment due dates vary by state, and your agent can let you know when your payments will be due. A service fee will be added to each installment to cover additional handling costs.

10-Pay The 10-Pay plan almost gives you a monthly payment plan. With 10-Pay, you'll pay about 16.3% of your total annual premium by your policy effective date and then you'll make nine additional installment payments. Payment due dates vary by state, and your agent can let you know when your payments will be due. A service fee will be added to each of the installments to cover additional handling costs.
