Effective 11/16/09 8:30 AM, eastern time, the temporary binding restrictions due to the Atlantic Coastal Storms have been lifted for all Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Products.

EFFECTIVE 11/12/2009 - 5:00 PM, eastern time, the States and Counties listed below have been identified as areas currently affected by Atlantic Coast Storms and are restricted for ALL Personal Lines and Commercial Lines Products:

Entire State
MARYLAND
Somerset
Worcester
Wicomico
Queen Anne's
Dorchester
Caroline
Talbot
Kent
Cecil
For the states and areas of; MARYLAND, DELAWARE, NEW JERSEY, CONNECTICUT, RHODE ISLAND, MASSACHUSETTS and LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK, please refer to the following reminder;
IMPENDING SEVERE WEATHER - BINDING RESTRICTIONS REMINDER:
During periods of severe weather, do not accept any applications for new coverage, requests to increase coverage limits, or requests to lower deductibles on existing policies. Impending severe weather includes, but is not limited to, tornado, flood, hurricane or tropical storm warnings and/or watches. Renewal policies may be written, provided there is no increase in coverage or lapse between policies.
General Agents, Independent Agents & Strategic Alliance Accounts
As a refresher, new business may not be written by any agent in the state or states listed above.
Agents are restricted from increasing coverage limits, adding coverage's, or reducing deductibles on existing business.

Point of Sale
As a reminder, POS agents still write business when necessary to complete a deal on a home they are selling and/or funding. The intent of the restrictions is to prevent walk-in business, increases in coverage on existing policies and lowering of deductibles on existing policies.

As the 2009 Watercraft Season approaches, we would like to remind everyone of the following Binding Restrictions:
The entire state of FLORIDA is restricted for the FIRST CHOICE WATERCRAFT Product only. PWC's in the JetSport program are permitted.
