American Modern’s parent company, The Midland Company, began in 1938 as a consumer finance company, and expanded into insurance starting in the 1960s. For a number of years we were a major builder of manufactured homes, and we are still a leading insurer for that market.
Today, American Modern is a well-known and respected specialty insurer, writing business in all 50 states.
